The Gornergrat Bahn provides access to a fantastic hiking region around the Gornergrat. This natural paradise offers hiking trails suitable for all ages and levels of fitness. Hike on the trails once enjoyed by Mark Twain on the Riffelberg or discover the legendary Lost Valley at 2577m during a guided tour.
Alpine mountaineering has its roots at the Zermatt. Try the gorge passages or attempt your first climb on the Riffelhorn. Trust our mountain guides and climb one of the 38 four-thousand-metre peaks surrounding the Matterhorn.
Or take to the Gornergrat on a mountain bike on one of the three marked biking trails. As an alternative, just outside the village of Zermatt, between Täsch and Randa, you can indulge in a few holes of golf at an "alpine parkland"-style 9-hole golf course.
